Why We Offer Rider Training
Confidence Changes Everything.
Africa's most rewarding roads aren't always the easiest ones. A little preparation beforehand means you spend less time thinking about technique and more time soaking in the landscapes, the people and the moments that make an XMoto expedition unforgettable.
Rider training isn't a requirement — it's an invitation to arrive at your own pace, feeling ready for whatever the road brings.
Designed Around Real Riding
Not a Classroom. A Warm-Up for the Real Thing.
There are no cones, no parking lots, no lectures. Just quiet gravel roads, an experienced guide beside you, and the kind of honest feedback that actually sticks.
Whether you're brushing up before your first gravel expedition or want a confidence boost before tackling a mountain pass, every session is shaped around you — your bike, your experience, your goals.

Good to Know.
Do I need to be an experienced rider to join?
Not at all. Sessions are shaped around your current experience and confidence level, whether this is your first adventure bike or your fifteenth expedition.
Is rider training compulsory before an expedition?
No. It's entirely optional, offered to any guest who wants extra confidence before departure.
Can I train on my own motorcycle?
Yes, or on one of our expedition bikes if you'd prefer to get a feel for the machine before your trip.
How long does a session take?
Most sessions run a half or full day, depending on what you'd like to focus on.
Where does training take place?
On quiet gravel roads and passes in the Western Cape — real terrain, never a car park.
